Time in a Bottle!
Golly, we have been in Texas for 32 years! Guess we will have to celebrate with some 32 year old whisky, and other wonderful drams from SMWS! We will compare and contrast a young whisky from Balmenach with stunning older drams from Bowmore, Glen Moray, Caperdonich (no longer in existence), and Mortlach from the Creator’s Collection releases. This tasting is not to be missed!
Valinch-tine’s Day Returns!
It’s been 3 years since our last Valinch-tine’s Day celly, but it will be back in epic style! You are guaranteed to fall in love with the wine cask maturations of Amarone, Pessac-Léognan, Rivesaltes, Sauternes, and Syrah across the Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore whiskies. We also have a special surprise for y’all based on our private tasting event with Mary and Adam this year: an amuse-bouche treat with the quadruple distilled 12 year Octomore release! Oh la la!!!
Fettercairn Friday with Franklin!
Let’s have a fun Fettercairn Friday happy hour with Franklin the Bus! Fettercairn is now available in the US, so let’s dive into this fruity and funky Highland spirit. We have the Scottish oak matured 18yr belter,and a US-only SMWS Fettercairn release – Yo Mami! – a wonderful dessert whisky! Franklin has a few more whiskies up his sleeve / axle… 😉
Fabulous Fèis Ìle 2025 Releases!
We enjoyed fabulous whiskies such as the Bunnahabhain Lillian XXXX whisky, in recognition of her 50 years of service (the release has whisky back to the 70s); the Bowmore 100% Islay malting aged in a single sherry cask; and also Cairdeas from Laphroaig, a cask strength Lore style!
Ardbeg and Mateo's Malts: A Lot to Celebrate!
The Ardbeg Distillery was saved from demolition in 1997 when Glenmorangie bought it, and on June 16, 1997, the mashing was first re-started, with whisky flowing through distillation on June 28, 1997. Mateo's Malts will be celebrating FIVE years of tastings, and throwing in our June birthdays, there is a lot joy and whisky that needs to be shared!
We will be breaking out the famous ~16yr old Airigh Nam Beist, a feisty Supernova, and a recent Traigh Bhan 19yr, the new Eureka! Committee Release, and finally, the famous Alligator with the extra charred casks!

The Dalmore Distillery Delights
Through our whisky maker friends at The Dalmore, we have secured some exclusive expressions for this event. These whiskies take the usual chocolate and citrus house style to totally different flavor and strength levels that any Dalmore fan would not want to miss. Port cask for 20yrs, Amarone and Port cask finishes on the 17yr, and a Marsala wine cask finish are wonderful. We will have a 15yr core whisky for comparison and Alex's delicious 12yr old-fashioned with cinnamon sticks!
Spring Break with Springbank!
How about a spring break trip to Campbeltown, Scotland, and the ever-popular Springbank Distillery?!!! These whiskies journeyed back with Mateo after his week at Whisky School, and all are fabulous! We have peated and unpeated whisky, lots of different cask types, and we will be sharing the insider knowledge of this hands-on distillery.
